Hello and thank you for your site and the information here. I have spent time reading the articles and reviews during my engagement ring search. I have used the information I found here when visiting several local jewelry shops as well and looking at the online retailers.
Based on what I have seen and heard during this whole process I have made up my mind to buy a ring from James Allen. I have not chosen the exact ring yet but do plan on getting a white gold solitaire setting. I have looked at many rings and the solitaires seem to be the best fit with their simple beauty.
I tend to do a great deal of research on items before making a purchase. It tends to be a joke amongst my family and friends, although everyone admits that when I do buy I get exactly what I want. While I believe this is a good thing I am getting bogged down when looking at diamonds. There are just too many variables. I share this with you in the hopes it will give you some information to help me choose a diamond.
I know my girlfriend wants a princess cut. She says she does not care besides this and I believe her. That being said I want her to have a nice stone that she can show to her friends and family. My budget for the diamond is between $2,000 and $2,500. Please help me find the best diamond for my money.
Thank you for your time and help. I truly do appreciate it. If there is any other information I could provide to help please do not hesitate to ask.

I love the first one for you. It is the best cut of them all and the G color is an added bonus. They are all 100% eye-clean and will look great in a solitaire setting. What do you think?
Thank you for your reply.
I really like the first stone you picked. https://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1518405.asp As a follow up, I spoke with a representative from James Allen last night and they also recommended a stone. It is https://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-VS1-Ideal-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1531891.asp .
The only problem I see with it is it has a strong fluorescence. If I remember correctly it was about $2,280. The one they recommended is slightly less expensive, slightly bigger with similar qualities, except for the fluorescence. They have it on hold for me through today. Between your primary choice and this one do you have a preference? Based on what I read and what I have been told it is hard to tell if the florescence is a negative and if it is enough of one to stay away from this stone.
I have to order the ring by 4:00 pm eastern today in order to have it by Thanksgiving, when I plan to propose so understand if you are unable to reply in time. In either case I do appreciate your help and the help the site has provided.
……..
As a follow up to my early message I have checked with James Allen and they report that they did view the diamond (https://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-VS1-Ideal-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1531891.asp) and there is no haziness to the diamond with strong florescence. Would this opinion alter your opinion?
Sounds like a winner to me. It’s a very nice diamond.
