I read that you are willing to help me find a diamond, and I’m looking specifically at James Allen so that I can see the diamond.
I’d like to get the best looking round diamond for about 4000-5000. The setting is a solitaire 4 prong
I hope you can help! Thanks
I’d be happy to make some recommendations and guide you through the process. What type of setting are you considering? Yellow gold or white gold/platinum? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
Let me know and I’d be happy to send you some suggestions.
I’m looking for a simple solitaire, four prong setting. I still haven’t decided on a knife edge or a comfort fit though
Thanks in advance
I love this diamond for you:
It’s bright eye-clean and a great value. What do you think?
I appreciate the recommendation. A couple of questions:
Would that big brown spot be noticeable? Its pretty close to the edge but I’m not sure if it can be hidden under a prong. Also your site recommended an h color. Is J too yellow?
Also I’ve been looking at some Brian Gavin diamonds. Are those as good as they are made out to be? I’m still trying to learn what imperfections can’t be seen by a naked eye.
Thanks again for your time.
I’m not sure if the prong will cover it completely, but it will surely blend in to the prong and be eye-clean.
I love BGD if you are willing to sacrifice a bit on size. Personally I would, but it’s not for everyone.
