Hi, I came across your website and decide to ask you some suggestions regard to purchasing a diamond ring for my girlfriend, I know her preferences are round cut, color to be as near colorless as possible (D/E/F/G/H(?)) and she doesn’t mind that her carat weight to be 0.9 if the color to be colorless, she doesn’t want to see any yellowing in regular light.
For my own preferences and budget, my budget is between 6000-9000, feel more comfortable in the middle and I prefer the weight to be 1 carat, since 0.9 and 1 is so close, I don’t mind spending a bit extra to make it 1. I was wondering whether you can assist me with the selections and I prefer to shop online such as James Allen.

It makes no sense to improve the clarity. Once it’s eye-clean, it’s eye-clean. You can improve the size, a slight jump won’t be noticeable at all. In fact, the 1.02 I suggested is bigger than the one you selected. Check out our post on diamond size:

Diameter is the noticeable size. Since the diamond you selected is deeper, it has a smaller diameter. If you want to spend more, go for this one:
