Q&A: Looking for Princess Cut for Three Stone Setting

I am shopping for a ring for my girlfriend of 5 years. I visit your site often and have gotten most of my information from here and have really learned a lot from reading your site. I have a budget of 5000 but might be able to go a bit higher, it would just take longer to have the money. I am looking for a center diamond of at least .75-.80 carats and have found many on JamesAllen.com but I just don’t trust myself when it comes to picking a stone. I wish I could afford more for her as she certainly deserves it so I want to make sure whatever stone I do get looks great , has good color and amazing sparkle and no visible inclusions. Please help me pick the right stone.

Thank you so much for the response. That Diamond is beautiful and it is most likely the one I will go with. I have another quick question. Obviously a round diamond has more cuts and will sparkle more but will I get a decent sparkle out a a princess cut diamond. Either way I know she will be happy with this choice but I know women want that sparkle. Thanks again.

As you requested I wanted to give you an update on my diamond/ring purchases through James Allen. I have selected a setting and the diamond is on the way back to get set. As soon as I receive the ring I will be sure to show the finished product.

The ring came in and we are engaged. Attached is a shot of it on her finger. It looks beautiful but the picture doesn’t do justice to the sparkle this ring has. It is amazing in the sunlight.
