I asked a question yesterday (see below) but I realized I left out some important information. The diamond I am looking for is a round brilliant cut diamond and here’s an example of a setting I like:

I am writing this email because I am currently looking for an engagement ring and I have a number of questions I hope you can help me with. By the way, I was delighted to come across your website which provides some very useful information. For your information, I am writing this email from Europe. I am not sure yet exactly when I will be purchasing the ring, but it will probably be sometime this year.
After reading your website I started thinking about purchasing an
engagement ring online and looked at both Blue Nile and James Allen.
The setting will probably be either a Solitaire or Pavé setting in
yellow gold. My budget is $2000 to $2500 (excluding taxes) for the
entire ring. Since the setting will be around $1000 (if I choose a
Pavé setting), this leaves me between $1000 and $1500 for the diamond.
I have the following questions in this respect:
– What kind of diamond should I be looking at if I want to optimize
the diamond in the way described on your website (carat, color, cut
etc.)?
– Do you know of any good sites in Europe (would save some costs
regarding customs etc.) where you can see the diamond before you buy

To avoid confusion, I’m not interested in coloured diamonds in the setting but the setting gives you an idea of what I’m looking for. My maximum budget would be around 2750 if I opt for this setting.
