Hi There. I’m interested in buying a round brilliant cut diamond from James Allen. I have around $2000. In order for me to have a platinum solitaire which is around $640, that leaves me with about $1400 left for the diamond. I’m from the uk but travel to New York all the time. Can you put some recommendations my way for my budget. Also, is there an option for me to collect it from New York instead of it being sent via courier?
Any help appreciated.
Do you have a set place to stay in NY? It’s very easy to have it shipped.
Hi Mike. Firstly thanks for the reply. I work as an on-board manager for Virgin Atlantic. We used to stay in the radisson martinique on broadway but have very recently moved out to New Jersey due to rising hotel costs. I know that there is a FedEx office with a holding facility about 5 mins drive from our hotel, so that wouldn’t be a problem. As I said, my budget is $2000 and that’s for the diamond and platinum solitaire. As with any lady, it’s all about the sparkle and I know that a .50 carat is more than enough. She’s very petite and a size 4.5 ring. James Allen is definitely my preferred choice just because its clear concise and reasonable as to what you get for your money. Id like the best for the limited funds I have if possible.
Again, any help very much appreciated.
I would recommend this one for you:
It’s bright, eye-clean and a great value. It leaves you plenty of room for a nice setting. What do you think?
Thanks for the reply. That looks lovely, I’m assuming it will sparkle. With the platinum solitaire setting and diamond it would come to 1860 usd, well within my budget. My only problem is that James Allen won’t hold the diamond and I’m in Miami at the moment. If that should go before I’m home then can I ask you to look again and perhaps select another. My job can be a real pain sometimes. I’m also unsure as to how long the FedEx office would hold a package for?
You can speak to JA. Perhaps they can process the order and put it together and hold it for the ship date you want (so long as it’s not too far in advance).
