I have been looking at engagement rings for over a year now and keep putting holds and then second guessing.I even bought a few and returned. i just want to find the perfect one. I can do around $2,500 for just the diamond and maybe up to $3,000. looking for a princess cut or round. and i want to put it on a band with round side diamonds like the one in the link i send. I also, don’t know where and how to go about it online once i find the diamond. do i take to a local store and try to find a band or do i get the diamond on a band at the same time? thanks for your help!

i was just looking and happen to come across blue nile first. I’m think that style. band with round diamonds on the side and around a 3/4 princess or round. i can devote 2,500ish towards the diamond which i need to get first. because i do not know if i should get a local band and mounting somewhere or if its better to just get it all at one place. just looking for some assistance with finding the best bang.

i like the first one. would you care to look for a princess cut around 3/4 ct. And one more thing. If i purchased this, would you recommend i take it to a local jeweler for a band and mounting, or get it all done at James Allen.
