I have just found this site and wish I had sooner. I am just about to pull the trigger on a 1.25 g vs2 and have some last minute concerns with the inclusions on the lab report. I really would like to get your opinion on this https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/1.250-g-vs2-round-diamond-ags-104059709146
Please let me know if you could, I have to let them know by tomorrow. Thank you so much
It seems like you have this diamond buying process down pat. I love the diamond you selected. It is a stunning diamond.
Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
First off thank you so much for the fast reply .
About the diamond, I have heard great thing of Brian gavin, but after looking at the plot of inclusions I am VERY nervous about the abundance of feathers and needles. I not only thought this was a durability issue but a visible to the naked eye as well… I have looked at numerous stones in person and usually can spot the inclusion without a loupe, most of the time on a si 1, few instances on a vs2
Can you please take a look at the other diamonds from gavin, at this point only his hearts and arrows ideal cut will do, as I have fell in love with the cut. I really wanted to be at least a vs2 and a g color but am worried I will see to naked eye, and if I look with a loupe am afraid what all those needles and feathers will look like on the table.
Thank you so much
I think the diamond is eye-clean, and there is no durability issue whatsoever. However if you want piece of mind, go with this one instead:
How does it sound for the price……should I be looking somewhere else as well…….I just really really like a particular setting from Brian gavin ( the novela )
I have some prices from local stores from 1.3- 1.5 g vs1 even a g vvs2 from 10-11k…….which is more for the money but I am guessing probably not as clean.
Its not a question of clean, but the cut. BGD’s Hearts and Arrows diamonds are far superior in cut to a typical XXX cut or AGS 000. The only comparably diamonds out there are Hearts on Fire brand, and those will cost you double that (here is our comparative review).
Both of those BGD diamonds are absolutely stunning. I think they are well worth the price. Additionally, we have had amazing feedback from readers about their jewelry (both in design and craftsmanship). I really think they are the best bet for you.
