I am looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend of 8 years. She has no idea I am shopping around, but I know what she wants. She wants a Princess Cut on White Gold. These are her only desires, mine are a carat between .80-1.00 and a color of G-H. I am willing to stay on the lower end of the carat weight to get a better cut/color combo. I am also concerned with the depth ratio ( 70% is ideal I believe) and fluorescence. My budget is between $4,000- $5,500.
I have “designed my own” multiple times on James Allen, but haven’t pulled the trigger. I’m looking for some reassurance.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I’d be happy to make some recommendations and guide you through the process. What type of setting are you considering? Will it be a solitaire or does it have sidestones/pave? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
Let me know and I’d be happy to send you some suggestions.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. I know that she prefers a solitaire setting. I found these two, I was wondering what you thought of them?

Again, I am grateful for any help you can provide.
…….
I was searching around again, and I found another one I would like your opinion on.

Unfortunately, the GIA report doesn’t diagram the inclusions, but I can’t see any with the virtual loupe.
What do you think?
Thanks again for your help, as I am just shooting from the hip.
The 0.91 F VS2 is the best cut of the three. I would go for that one.
I appreciate your quick response. I posted the order this afternoon and hopefully everything comes in as planned. You have been a great deal of help to me and I hope she loves the ring.
Sounds great. Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
